The full size 3G artificial grass football pitch at Sporting Club Cramlington, was completed with a £100,000 investment from Cramlington Learning Village and Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure, and a £185,000 grant from the Football Foundation. As well as the pupils of Cramlington Learning Village, Cramlington Town FC and Cramlington Juniors FC who each contributed £1,500, will also use the new facility. £1.5m plan to install new football pitches

The development will see the new pitches installed at Dimensions Leisure Centre, in Burslem, and Northwood Stadium.The work, which features modern '3G' articifical turf, also includes refurbishing changing facilities. JFA target 3G pitch at Springfield

A three year plan released by the Association yesterday includes considering the provision of at least one third-generation, full size, floodlit, artificial turf pitch by 2015 – with Springfield the preferred location. A new 3G pitch could cost in the region of £400,000 to £500,000, but the Football Foundation, through the FA, would be prepared to contribute around half of the funds.
